The First Week of Rushmore American School

The first week of Rushmore American School is now written into our history. It was a week of smiles, celebrations, and the start of friendships and learning journeys that will grow for years to come. We are not simply opening a school, we are opening doors to opportunity, to growth, and to a future filled with promise.

As I watched our students leave at the end of each day, balloons in hand, laughter shared with new friends, and stories already forming to take home to their families, I felt a deep sense of pride. These are not just ordinary school days; they are the very first chapters of a new community that will continue to grow stronger with every passing week. Parents leaving with a sense of reassurance, teachers ending their days with a glow of accomplishment, and children already asking about what comes next are all signs that we are building something truly special.

Rushmore has begun to feel like a home for our families, a place where students are safe, inspired, and challenged to reach their potential. The energy of the Yala dancer and the joy of the balloon artist on the first morning were symbolic of the balance we aim to create, celebrating culture, joy, and creativity alongside academic excellence. Already, classrooms are filled with curiosity, playgrounds with the sound of friendship, and hallways with the warmth of belonging.

This first week is only the beginning, yet it has shown us the strength of our vision and the commitment of our staff, students, and families. Together, we are laying down traditions, building relationships, and creating a culture that will define Rushmore for years to come. The journey ahead will be filled with challenges and triumphs, but with the foundation we have built this week, I know that Rushmore will not only grow but thrive as a beacon of excellence and community in Sharjah.
