Magen Alexander
Pre KG Teacher
With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a PGCEi, and specialist training in ABA therapy, Magen brings a thoughtful, nurturing, and deeply child-centered approach to everything she does. Her nine years of experience living and teaching in the UAE have given her a rich understanding of how to support children from a wide range of backgrounds, always with compassion and care.
Magen believes every child is wonderfully unique and deserves to feel safe, valued, and inspired in their learning environment. Her classroom is a place where children feel at home, where meaningful connections are built, and where the emotional and academic growth of every student is celebrated. She places great importance on working closely with families to ensure that each child’s journey is filled with confidence, joy, and purpose.
Sinead Gayson
KG1 Teacher
Sinéad is an experienced Early Years educator with five years of teaching across American, IB, and British curriculum schools. She holds both a PGCE and QTS, and brings with her a holistic approach to learning that supports children not only academically, but also socially and emotionally.
In her classroom, children will find a safe and welcoming environment where they are encouraged to learn, explore, and grow in confidence. Her teaching is hands-on and child-led, filled with opportunities for curiosity, creativity, and fun.
Rain Makiano
KG2 Teacher
Rain holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Years & Childhood Studies from University College Cork and brings with her over six years of teaching experience in the UAE, working across a variety of international curricula including the British, American, and IB frameworks.
Her teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that young children thrive through exploration, creativity, and meaningful connections with their world. Rain is dedicated to creating nurturing and engaging learning environments where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. By fostering curiosity, independence, and a strong sense of self, Rain helps build a foundation for lifelong learning, one joyful and meaningful moment at a time.
Julie Walsh
Grade 1 Teacher
Originally from Ireland, Ms. Julie brings a wealth of experience and a strong passion for early childhood education. With over six years of teaching experience, she has worked with young children in a variety of educational and extracurricular settings. Her teaching journey includes Pre-K in Ireland and homeroom roles for Grades 1 and 2 in the UAE. Since 2022, she has been teaching KG1, further deepening her understanding of how to build strong foundations for lifelong learning.
Ms. Julie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Early Years Care and Education from Ireland, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the University of Sunderland in the UK. Her background also includes experience as a gymnastics coach and camp leader, which brings a dynamic, energetic and well-rounded approach to her classroom.
Rahala Alam
Grade 4 Teacher
With over a decade of teaching experience and a Master’s degree in Education from Murdoch University, Ms. Rahala brings a wealth of knowledge, creativity, and global perspective to our team. Originally from Boston, USA, she has spent the last ten years calling the UAE home, blending her American roots with rich international experience to create engaging, inclusive, and learner-centered classrooms.
What drew Ms. Rahala to Rushmore was our shared passion for innovation, character-building, and outstanding education. She believes in celebrating every small win, nurturing meaningful relationships, and continually learning alongside her students.
Nichole Figarola
PE Teacher
Nichole Figarola is a passionate and experienced educator who brings over a decade of teaching Physical Education and English across early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school levels. Nichole is deeply committed to creating active and globally minded learning environments that support the physical, emotional, and social development of every student.
Originally from the United States, Nichole has lived in Uruguay for nearly 16 years, where she built a strong career in international education. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education, Sports, and Recreation, as well as a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Educational Management. In addition, her Cambridge English teaching certifications reflect her strength in bilingual and multicultural settings.
An athlete throughout her life, Nichole has played soccer and field hockey from a young age and continues to stay active. She brings this lifelong passion for sport into her teaching, believing strongly in the power of physical activity to develop confidence, teamwork, and character in students.
Nada Safwat
Science Specialist
Ms. Safwat holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and a TQUK Diploma in Education and Training (RQF), providing her with a strong academic and teaching background. With 7 years of teaching experience across Egypt, and the UAE, she brings a passion for delivering hands-on, inquiry-based lessons that spark curiosity and make science an exciting journey for students.
Hamdi Dandash
Islamic Teacher
Mr. Hamdi brings over eight years of teaching experience in UAE schools and holds a degree from Dar Al-Uloom College, Cairo University. With expertise across the British and American curriculum. Hamdi designs engaging lessons that help students develop a deep understanding of Islamic values while making meaningful connections to real-life experiences. Passionate about nurturing knowledge, respect, and responsibility, Mr. Hamdi inspires students to grow as thoughtful global citizens.
Noura Saleh
Arabic Teacher
Originally from Syria and now based in Dubai,Ms. Noura has been teaching Arabic for more than nine years. She holds a degree in Arabic Language and Literature, and is a licensed MOE teacher. Throughout her career, she focused on creating engaging and culturally rich lessons that not only build strong language skills but also help students connect with the beauty and depth of the Arabic language.
She is especially passionate about the MOE curriculum, as she believes it gives students a solid foundation in both language development and heritage appreciation. At Rushmore, her goal is to create interactive and inclusive learning experiences where every student feels supported and inspired.
Noha Abdel
Arabic Teacher
With over 15 years of experience teaching at both primary and middle school levels, Ms. Noha brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her role. A proud graduate of Al-Azhar University with a degree in Arabic Language, she is known for her dynamic and engaging teaching style that helps students connect deeply with the Arabic language.
Ms. Noha believes that language is more than just grammar and vocabulary, it is culture, identity, and beauty. She is also a dedicated lifelong learner and avid reader, always seeking to grow and inspire others through education.
Ahmed Elsayed Shaaban
Arabic Teacher
With over 11 years of teaching experience, Mr Ahmed brings a deep passion for helping non-native speakers connect with the Arabic language and Islamic values in engaging, meaningful ways.
Holding a Bachelor's degree in Arabic Language and Islamic Studies from Alexandria University, he has completed various certifications in education, social leadership, and personal development.
Ahmed’s teaching philosophy is rooted in connection, cultural appreciation, and student-centered learning. We’re proud to have him share the richness of the Arabic language and the essence of Islamic principles with our students here at Rushmore.
Ayisha Ahmed

With an MSc in Psychology from Manipal University, Dubai, she has gained practical experience in both clinical and school environments. During her internship at Kasturba Hospital in India, she had the opportunity to observe therapy sessions and understand a wide range of student and client needs. Her work in organizations such as GEMS and City schools, has further enriched her understanding of how to support students academically, socially, and emotionally.
Born and raised in the UAE she brings cultural awareness, empathy, and a deep passion for inclusive learning environments. She is committed to helping children thrive by building strong relationships, supporting individual learning needs, and creating classrooms where every student feels seen and supported.

Hariharan Devicharan
IT, Infrastructure & Data Manager
With over 23 years of experience in the field of information technology including more than 12 years in the education sector, Hariharan brings exceptional expertise in building and managing digital ecosystems that enhance both teaching and learning. His work has spanned multi-campus school groups, where he has successfully led the implementation of advanced infrastructure and innovative digital platforms.
As a founding team member of one of Dubai’s largest British schools, Hariharan played an instrumental role in establishing comprehensive IT systems and strong cybersecurity frameworks, contributing to the school’s distinction as a distinguished school.
Hariharan holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Information Technology from the University of Chennai. He also holds certifications as an Apple Certified Professional and in Jamf Pro, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Google Workspace.
Rebecca Doyola

With several years of experience in leading inclusive education settings across international schools in the UAE, Rebecca brings a strong commitment to supporting student development beyond the classroom. Sandhya Suresh
School Nurse
Sandhya is a dedicated and compassionate registered nurse with over 11 years of experience in pediatric and school health. A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Delhi and a licensed Registered Nurse in the UAE, she brings a wealth of clinical knowledge and a nurturing approach to student care.
Her professional journey began in the Oncology Critical Care Unit in Delhi, before joining the Aster Group in Dubai. For the past 7 years, she has been committed to student well-being in leading schools in the UAE.
At Rushmore, her mission is simple yet vital: to ensure that every student is healthy, safe, and ready to learn. She provides care for students with chronic conditions, manages daily medications, addresses minor illnesses and injuries, and promotes lifelong healthy habits.
She also works closely with families, teachers, and healthcare providers, creating a supportive environment where student well-being is a shared priority. Beyond her clinical role, she is passionate about health education, regularly leading initiatives such as hygiene workshops, nutrition campaigns, and mental health awareness programs.
Zeeshan Falak Nak

With 12 years of professional driving experience in the UAE, Zeeshan Flak Naz brings a strong record of safety, punctuality, and reliability to our operations team as our School driver. Throughout his career, he has developed expertise in safe driving practices, efficient route planning, and ensuring timely and professional transport. His dedication to safety and excellent service makes him a valuable addition to our community.
Ruth Erna Viernes
Librarian
Originally from the Philippines, Ruth brings over eight years of experience as a Librarian in Abu Dhabi, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science and a Level 5 Diploma in Special Education. Her unique blend of expertise in literacy and inclusive education will play a vital role in shaping a supportive and enriching environment for our students.
Ruth is passionate about sparking curiosity and a love of reading in students of all ages. Beyond managing library resources, she has led dynamic reading programs, curated collections to meet diverse learning needs, and collaborated with teachers to align the library with curriculum goals.
Wasif Iqbal
Resource Management Assistant
Wasif holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management, along with several years of experience in the international EdTech sector. He has worked closely with diverse educational communities, helping streamline operations and provide meaningful support to students, families, and educators.
Wasif is passionate about building school environments that are organized, efficient, and above all, student-centered. In his role here at Rushmore, he will support the day-to-day running of the school and ensure that staff, students, and parents experience smooth and responsive service across all operational areas.

Majd Alia
Head of Finance
Majd holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Guelph in Canada and brings valuable experience from his time working at the Ontario Veterinary College, one of the top-ranked veterinary schools globally. There, he worked directly within the college’s finance department, supporting budgeting, payroll, and financial system improvements in a fast-paced academic environment.
Majd is passionate about developing efficient, transparent financial systems that enable long-term sustainability and growth. As a key member of our founding team, he will play an essential role in establishing and guiding the financial operations of Rushmore American School.
Lamia Abdallah
Head of MOE Subjects
Ms. Abdallah brings over 17 years of teaching experience and 15 years in school leadership, having served as both Head of MOE Subjects and Assistant Principal in a number of highly respected schools across Dubai. Her work spans a range of curricula, including MOE, US, UK, and IB, giving her a broad understanding of best practices in Arabic and Islamic education.
She holds a degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies and a Diploma in Education, and is currently completing her Master’s in Education. In addition, she is in the final stages of the NPQSL (National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership) from the UK Department for Education, reflecting her dedication to strong, forward-thinking school leadership.
Ms. Abdallah’s international background, including time spent living in California, brings a unique global perspective that enhances her ability to connect with students and families from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Her passion for language, culture, and high-quality education is at the heart of everything she does.
Nour Jebril
Receptionist
With over four years of experience in customer service and a degree from Canadian University, Nour brings a calm, caring, and detail-oriented approach to every interaction. Originally from Palestinian-Jordanian roots and a long-time resident of the UAE, Nour has a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and communication, something she honed during her time with Emirates Airlines as an airport agent.
Natalia Rodríguez

Originally from Mexico, Natalia brings a vibrant blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and international experience. With a background in Communication Sciences and a strong foundation in photography and content creation, she has worked across government, education, and private sectors, developing campaigns, managing events, and building strong brand identities. She is known for storytelling, cultural engagement, and meaningful communication makes her a wonderful addition to the team.

Registrar & Parent Liaison Officer
With extensive experience in school administration, Entesar serves as Registrar and Parent Liaison Officer, playing a key role in managing government platforms and ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements. She is deeply committed to strengthening the connection between parents and the school while guiding families through a seamless and supportive admissions journey.
Entesar believes that supporting each child’s educational path and building trusted relationships with families is a meaningful success for both herself and the school.
Zeinab Mohammed
Receptionist
Born, raised and educated in California, Zeinab brings over 12 years of customer service experience to her role as a receptionist. With a deep passion for creating positive, welcoming environments, she is dedicated to providing exceptional service to clients and visitors. Throughout her career, Zeinab has honed her skills in communication, problem-solving, and multitasking, ensuring every interaction is met with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Emma Baker
School Principal
With over 15 years of experience in education across the UK and UAE, Mrs. Baker has led high-performing schools and supported system-wide improvement through her leadership roles. She holds a degree from Liverpool John Moores University and has served as Principal of Ormiston Rivers Academy, one of the top three schools in Essex for student outcomes (DfE ranking).
During her time in the UK, she was also a System Leader for the Academies Enterprise Trust (AET), supporting multiple schools in the areas of leadership development, teaching and learning, curriculum, and outcomes. Mrs. Baker has been nominated twice for 'Headteacher of the Year', and was proud to have earned a national award for Headteacher of the Year. As the Founding Principal of Rushmore, she is passionate about building a school where every child feels inspired, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential. She believes that education goes beyond academics, it is about nurturing character, fostering creativity, and empowering students to make a positive impact in the world.

Lisa Wareing
Head of KG & Elementary
Ms. Lisa Wareing serves as the Head of Kindergarten and Elementary at Rushmore American School and is a member of the school's Leadership Team. Originally from the United Kingdom, she brings more than 20 years of experience in education, with an extensive background in both classroom teaching and school leadership across the UAE and the UK.
Lisa holds a BSc with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Mathematics from Edge Hill University and a Master's Degree in Education with Leadership and Management from The Open University. She has also completed the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) and the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH).
Throughout her career, Lisa has held senior leadership positions including Vice Principal, Deputy Head of Whole School, Assistant Principal, and Associate Assistant Principal, leading key areas such as teaching and learning, curriculum development, assessment, school improvement, staff development, and student achievement. She has also taught across a range of grade levels and understands the importance of building strong academic foundations during a child's formative years.
As Head of Kindergarten and Elementary, Lisa leads the academic and pastoral development of students across both divisions while supporting teachers, students, and families to ensure a high-quality educational experience. As a member of the Leadership Team, she contributes to the strategic direction of the school and the continued development of excellence in teaching and learning.
Sabrina Sambola
Head of Curriculum
Ms. Sabrina Sambola serves as the Curriculum Lead at Rushmore American School and is a member of the school's Leadership Team. Originally from the United States, she brings over 16 years of educational experience, including extensive leadership experience in international schools across the UAE.
Sabrina is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction and holds a Master of Science in Physical Education Teacher Education from West Virginia University. She has served in senior leadership roles including Head of Teaching and Learning, Middle School Principal, Assistant Principal, and IB Primary Years Programme Coordinator.
Her expertise includes curriculum development, instructional coaching, assessment systems, teacher development, accreditation, and school improvement. She has extensive experience aligning American and IB curricula, supporting instructional excellence, and developing systems that improve student achievement and learning outcomes.
At Rushmore American School, Sabrina leads curriculum implementation and supports teaching and learning across the school, ensuring a cohesive educational experience that promotes excellence, innovation, and student success.
Sharine Tyndale
Head of Kindergarten
Ms. Sharine Tyndale serves as a KG Teacher and Kindergarten Leader at Rushmore American School. Originally from the United Kingdom, she brings extensive experience in early childhood education, classroom teaching, and educational leadership.
Sharine holds a PGCE in EYFS and Primary Education from London Metropolitan University and a BA (Hons) in Education from North London University. She has also completed the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL), reflecting her commitment to leadership and school improvement.
She has taught across the Kindergarten and Elementary phases in international school settings and previously served as an Assistant Head, supporting curriculum implementation, staff development, and school improvement initiatives. Her classroom approach focuses on creating nurturing, engaging, and student-centered learning environments that support children’s academic, social, and emotional development.
As Kindergarten Leader, she works closely with the Kindergarten team to promote high-quality teaching and meaningful learning experiences across the KG program.
Marta Lázaro Echavarren
Head of Admissions, Marketing & Communications
Ms. Marta Lázaro Echavarren serves as the Head of Admissions, Marketing & Communications at Rushmore American School and is a member of the school's leadership team.
Originally from Spain, Marta holds a Law Degree from the Public University of Navarre and a Master's Degree in Project Management from EAE Business School. She brings extensive experience in project management, communications, stakeholder engagement, customer experience, and strategic planning across international organizations in Spain, the United Kingdom, and the UAE.
Throughout her career, Marta has managed complex international projects, coordinated multicultural teams, developed communication strategies, organized large-scale events, and built strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Her expertise in operations, client engagement, and strategic communications supports her work in creating exceptional experiences for prospective and current families.
At Rushmore American School, Marta leads admissions, marketing, communications, and community engagement initiatives, helping to strengthen the school's brand and build meaningful connections with families and the wider community.
Sarah Grace Puata
KG1 Teacher
Ms. Sarah Grace Puata serves as a Kindergarten Teacher at Rushmore American School. Originally from South Africa, she brings more than eight years of experience teaching in UAE international schools.
Sarah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Foundation Phase Education from the University of South Africa (UNISA) and has experience teaching across KG1, KG2, Grade 1, and Grade 2 within American, British, and IB curriculum environments.
She is passionate about creating nurturing and engaging learning experiences that support children’s academic, social, and emotional development. Sarah has extensive experience working with diverse learners, implementing targeted intervention strategies, and supporting students in developing confidence, communication skills, and independence.
