High School Program
Welcome to our high school program at Rushmore American School, catering to students aged 15 to 18. In our high school, learner-focused teaching takes center stage, emphasizing the development of independence and social awareness. Recognizing the unique needs of students aged 15 to 18, our teaching approach goes beyond traditional methods, fostering an environment that encourages critical thinking, self-directed learning, and a heightened social consciousness. Teachers guide students in taking ownership of their education, promoting independence in decision-making and goal-setting. Through collaborative projects, real-world applications, and interactive discussions, we aim to cultivate not only academic excellence but also a profound understanding of social issues and a sense of responsibility towards the community. Our commitment to learner-focused teaching in high school is dedicated to shaping well-rounded individuals equipped with the skills and awareness necessary to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
Similar to our middle school structure, students are assigned to form groups with a dedicated form tutor overseeing their progress and well-being. Lessons take place in specialist areas, fostering a dynamic learning environment.

In Grades 9 and 10, students study English Language Arts, Mathematics, Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, UAE Social Studies, and Digital Literacy. They choose from Biology, Physics, or Chemistry as main sciences and can opt for electives like Computer Science, French, Art & Design, Music, or Business Studies.
