As we begin a new year at Rushmore American School, I would like to extend a warm welcome back to all of our families, students, and staff. The first week of term has been nothing short of busy, exciting, and deeply rewarding.
From the moment I walked through our classrooms this week, there was an unmistakable sense of energy and purpose. You could feel the buzz of learning immediately. Students were engaged, focused, and curious, and teachers were delivering well-structured, purposeful lessons that maximised every moment. Despite the extended winter break, our staff did not waste a single minute of learning time. Lessons were carefully planned, expectations were clear, and routines were re-established seamlessly, ensuring consistency and high standards across the school.
It has also been a pleasure to welcome over 40 new families into our community this week. With their arrival, Rushmore American School is now proud to represent 29 different nationalities. This diversity is one of our greatest strengths. It enriches classroom discussions, strengthens cultural understanding, and reflects the global outlook we strive to instill in our students every day.
As a founding school, moments like these are especially meaningful. Seeing classrooms alive with learning, students settling confidently into routines, and families choosing Rushmore as their educational home reinforces our shared vision and purpose. The foundations we are building together are strong, and the momentum we have started this term gives me great confidence in the months ahead.
Thank you to our dedicated staff for their professionalism and commitment, to our students for their enthusiasm and readiness to learn, and to our families for your continued trust and partnership. We look forward to an exciting year ahead, filled with growth, learning, and shared success.
